At The London Vet Behaviour Clinic, we provide a compassionate, science-based approach to understanding and addressing your pet’s behavioural challenges. Our team works closely with you and your vet to ensure your pet receives the best possible care.
Our Story
The London Vet Behaviour Clinic was born in 2019 after our leading vet Charlie discovered many clients were frustrated by the limited number of veterinary clinical behaviourist in the field in South London and Greater London. At The London Vet Behaviour Clinic, we understand how challenging it can be when your beloved pet exhibits behavioural issues. We want you to know that you are not alone – we are here to help you and your pet every step of the way. ​ ​Our clinic is a mobile clinic meaning that we will come out to you to assess your pet or alternatively can conduct an online assessment
WHO WE ARE
Charlie has always had an interest in behaviour having worked with and trained animals great and small from horses to llamas to pet pigs to name but a few.
​
Charlie is a qualified veterinary surgeon with a Post Graduate Masters in Companion Clinical Behaviour, so unlike many behaviourists will be able to assess your animal from a veterinary perspective and as a behaviourist. He is fully accredited with the APBC & ABTC and is currently working towards becoming an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Companion Animal Behaviour.
Charlie currently has an adolescent English Pointer who keeps him busy outside of work.
WHAT TO EXPECT

Home Visit & Behaviour Assessment​
​
We visit you and your pet at home to assess their behaviour in a familiar environment. This allows us to observe real-life triggers and interactions. We also offer an online service for clients outside of our catchment where we will review videos you provide to gain a fuller picture of your pets behaviour.

Medical History Review
​
Behavioural issues can often have an underlying medical component. We take a full medical history to rule out any potential health concerns and ensure our recommendations support your pet’s overall well-being.

Immediate Plan on the Day & Tailored Training Programme
​
On the day of your consultation, we provide an immediate plan with medical and management advice to help you start making positive changes straight away. A detailed, tailored training plan is then provided several weeks after the initial assessment.

Collaboration with Your Vet
​
We will work with your primary veterinarian, providing a detailed report with our findings and recommendations to ensure a holistic approach to your pet’s health and behaviour.

Follow-Up & Ongoing Support
​
After your consultation, you will have a follow-up call, which can be conducted via Zoom if preferred. All packages come with three months of ongoing support via email, WhatsApp, and telephone. Please note that phone support must be booked in advance through our admin team.

Client-Led Training & Trainer Support
​
Behaviour modification is a client-led process, meaning you will be responsible for implementing the training and management strategies we provide. If you need additional hands-on support, we recommend working with a qualified trainer through the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) to help you apply the techniques correctly.
